In The Darkness Poem by Anna Heminsley

In The Darkness

In the darkness,
You're all alone,
Everything is silent,
Except the breathing of your own.

All of a sudden,
You feel like you're fading away,
Feeling so quiet,
As you lay.

Staring into space,
With your heart beating like a drum,
You want the silence to go away,
And you're hands are becoming numb.

You can feel your stare,
Lasting more than it should,
Letting your mind wander,
And inside you think this is good.
