In The Meadow, We Drew Flowers Poem by Faust Lim

In The Meadow, We Drew Flowers

A black and white shadow,
Finds his lucky heather,
Two lovebirds in the meadow,
drawing flowers together.

Flowers in technicolour,
Birds of paradise shall soar,
Petals in the day,
Metal music on replay,

When the summer was a bummer,
and the meadow was a shadow,
a man stands,
with lonely thoughts,
emotionless.

Till,
she broke the wall,
the barrier in his mind,
and put his hand,
in her hand.

The sky came back,
with the singing lark,
and the light came back to his eyes,
and there were no more tears.

For she,
made fantasy fade into reality,
and sun shine crimsom bright,
and darkness fade into hiding.

So they said,
Let's stay in this place,
Where flowers grow like trees,
Where day mingle with night,
Where fairies come to play,
and where our love shall blossom.

Therefore,
Of adam and eve,
Of you and me,
Of our love.

Magic we shall unfold,
and iron walls shall be shattered,
and bonded hearts revealed.
