In The Microbiology Lab Poem by Minerva A. Garcia

In The Microbiology Lab

I am standing very still
No noise here
But I began to cry
At the sounds of the microbes
That I thought I heard. Melting fast-
Not wanting to die.
I experienced the death of an E.coli.
Shrinking, unpigmented and so,
Its colors just went by. Awake from your silly
Sleep E.coli-
Today is not your day
Too much pain you caused,
But today I'll bring you to life. Come from the dead
Old E.coli-
This is an old experiment
Today once again I'll bring you to life.

Keep using your imagination. I hope that doesn't sound too much like a message in a fortune cookie.
