Stood in the middle,
Cars going past.
Some in front,
Some behind.
At the time it felt so right,
Now looking back how stupid of me.
Standing in the middle,
The middle of the road.
Looking round like a lost little child,
It felt so good.
The views of the busy road.
No-one noticed the fact,
That I wasn't even trying,
To cross over from the middle.
No-one even noticed,
I was there.
Suddenly I felt ever so small,
Realising that there is much more out there,
Then what we see around us.
I just wanted to curl up,
And vanish from this world.
The world where crime and abuse happens,
Every single day.
I just wanted to go to some place,
Where I would be safe.
Away from his powerful hits,
And meaningful words.
So there I was,
Standing In the middle,
The middle of the road.

This is better than some of your others that I read. This is a real poem.
