In The Shadow Of Oppression Poem by Jude Fuhnwi

In The Shadow Of Oppression

Rating: 5.0

My people wail in pain
The world mute and deaf
Our oppressors kill and maim for gain
Valiant as ever my people stand firm.

Resistant hearts retorted the call
To restore the state of tall
A common cause for all
In unison to shun the gall.

In last kicks the vulture strikes in vain
To entomb all signs of our pain
In vain they strain their brain
To seal lips and reign.

Buoyant in the struggle for revival
My people resist the unceasing surge of terror
Knowing that the journey is long for survival
And hope lies in repelling horror.

Beautiful depiction of the triumph of Forces Of Liberty against Forces Of Oppression, well articulated and insightfully brought forth in good rhyme scheme with conviction. A lovely poem indeed. Thanks for sharing Jude.
