In The Shadows Poem by Frederick Banda

In The Shadows

I in the shadows,
witness to all the atrocities,
unwilling accomplice to these hellish scenes
unwittingly acting in crimes of shameful greed,
Stained hands, soiled with blood, sweat
and dreams of crushed fellow human beings,
heart and soul in floods of tears
painful thoughts of all their sufferings,
I in the shadows
victim and beneficiary
Silences is my torture stick
