My hair blowin in the wind
Teardrops rainin on my skin.
Time slows down
Cause those letters you found
Were from the hospital downtown.

Told me your through
Told me we're done
Cause you couldn't handle the pain
That you knew was to come.

You broke my heart
You broke my soul
From those letters that you wrote.

Finally the day came
The one that was my last.
You told me you wouldn't be there
But I knew that wouldn't last.
You held my hand
And told me in a whisper
That we would be together again
Because our love would last forever.
With that I fell asleep
With a smile on my face
Never to awake again
But you did not cry
As you looked to the sky
Because you knew in the end
We would be together again.
