In The Solitude Of My Mind Poem by David Harris

In The Solitude Of My Mind

Rating: 5.0

As I sit and watch the fire’s glow
in the solitude of my mind,
I can see more than any person realises.
I sometimes wonder if it is the future
my mind allows me to see,
or am I daydreaming
hypnotised by the dancing flames.
I can sit for hours
enchanted under its spell
and visit many countries
in the solitude of my mind.
The world has no boundaries;
there is no place I cannot go,
no tongue that I cannot speak,
as I sit in silence
in the solitude of my mind.

The wonderful world of serenity - there is nothing like it especially in a warm comforting surrounding. I enjoy this poem, David, very much. A '10! ' Warm Wishes, Marilyn

I believe some of us might call it 'meditation'. In any event, you describe a place of peace and ease which heals the troubled mind and opens the door to creativity and joy. Lovely poem. Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

There is something hypnotic about a fire, the flames leaping, you have captured the way our mind can wander to different thoughts as we watch the fire burning, good piece David, and a Happy New Year to you and your family, may all your dreams come true, 10 Lynda xx
