In The Summer Of My Life

Rating: 5.0

In the summer of my life
A sudden rain wets my body
Wit pain and sorrow
Each moment, I feel lonely and dejected
Like an aimless log
Floating on sea water.

Each day is no different
My story repeats again and again
None to hear, none to understand,
It is just a mute desire
Carrying futile future
In the love-lost life-free
Of uncertain times.

With what promises should I
Prolong this life's journey?
With what care of future years?
A terrible loneliness haunts me
When I seek comfort from seers.

This is the summer of my life
Occasional rains cannot sooth,
No casual whispers
Of an afternoon wind.

Is this the only summer in my life?
Or still more on the way?
Will not this rain shower
On me the blessing of the divine
And fill in celestial milk
On my empty palms?

I have nothing to complain
I am to enjoy the suffering
If HE so desires...
For there is no escape
From the summer
Though nature prompts
To gather patience
Like an old lady gathering
Dead leaves in a sunless forest.
