In These Lonely Days There's Nothing Like You Poem by Peter S. Quinn

In These Lonely Days There's Nothing Like You

In these lonely days there's nothing like you
When the law of restlessness chance shall flame
The heart is inconstant danger to be through
And its troubling in beats that are the same
When fragile's the mind and lost for summer verts
In dreams of shadows flickering reflections
From those occasions that come when winter flirts
In dark clouds breaking up and rejections

These darkish days that was drawn from autumn's fire
In feelings deep like axis from dim flowers
Each thought in light here of mans inner desire
Of emptiness and wanderings alone hours
With a heart full of shading daggers heartbeat
To be drawn among shadows of empty street
