In This Dark Corner Poem by Terry Moore

In This Dark Corner

Rating: 4.5

Lights are out in my house
They might as well be in my head
In this corner with your blouse
Crying with it in my hand
Nothing but darkness surrounds me
With my troubles pouring as tears
Covered with guilt I am drowning
With nothing but my fears
Sweat of a trigger-happy bum
With no resentment from you
Shaking hand with a gun
Remembering all the times with you
Seeing black between every blink
There is no love for me here
Feeling down as I sink
Into a bottle of my own tears
Sucked dry by you
I am bawling with hatred
What am I to do
With a heart that has been separated
Pressed barrel to my head
I will never stop loving you
I pull the trigger, I am dead
All because I love you
