In Times Like These Poem by Oluwatowoju Tiamiyu

In Times Like These

Sometimes there are bad days
when life becomes a fight,
and all that you can do is to
hang on in their tight.
Depression and pain
penetrates your soul
like Brutu's knife made a hole
in Ceaser's intestine.
You search the world
for a little compassion
but came to naught.

Sometimes the pain is so much
The frustration so severe
The dishes so crude
The dreams so shattered
but all you could do is smile...
Smile for you've seen
one small ray of hope.

Sometimes life is so cruel
but when you look into life,
You find your self back in focus.
Life isn't like in the movies,
You take your life in your hands
just crossing the road here.

Some wounds cut so deep
we forget where the pain comes from.
Remember dawn comes after darkness,
and the fiercest storms don't last.
Even tornadoes disappear
Volcanoes die...
Please don't give up.
Up there,
There is someone who cares about you.
He is there for you,
And He will always be there for you.
So please never give up.

Always remember this great quote:
'When you get into a tight place
and everything goes against you,
until it seems as though
you couldn't hold on a minute longer,
Never give up then,
For that is just the time and place
that the tide will turn...'

Quitters never win
DON'T GIVE UP!
