In Unison Poem by Sandra Feldman

In Unison

Rating: 5.0

A poem can be,
Like a surprising card,
You receive one day,
Full of beauty and melody,
With the fragrance of surprise,
Pleasant image to the eyes,
That speaks a language,
Never shy,
But upholds sentiments,
That just won't die,
And sometimes, only sometimes,
May bring some tears,
You have to cry.

Yes! ! I get so involved in a poem that for some reason I wasn't expecting much from- -usually from its rather flat sounding title, or a title that has me thinking I'm going to a place I just have no desire to go [like a business meeting or a dentist appointment] but LO AND BEHOLD the author takes me on such a golden ride that I can scarcely catch my breath. I have learned to read at least one poem a day from an author I do not know- -it is amazing sometimes to receive that surprise card you are talking about here. Excellent write!

Yes, sometimes a poem is so surprisingly beautiful that tears not only drip, they flow. That is always a great pleasure, just like receiving a wonderful, hand written card out of the blue.
