searching
I stare into open space unaware, unyielding
I picture myself small, insignificant against the magnitude that is
Faces once pictured in memorised frames cascades the empty hallways
Hands once held touch almost forgotten,
I search for belonging, grappling, dislodging beliefs needed to consume, protect my turmoil
Held at arm’s length I create so I might evoke
But dislodged I turn inwards contorting to gain strength
