In Your Hands

I adore you
I captured your image
In the core of my heart
I feel contented
It's just enough for me
In the garden of my fertile thoughts
I sowed the seeds of our love
The charming plants that sprouted
Grew green thick and large
Yielding these tender flowers
Pure and white
I pluck these and place
In the palms of your
Outstretched hands
I pray silently
Please handle them gently
With a bow I convey
My life's
In your hands.

Poem of the Day

poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti

Young Love lies sleeping
In May-time of the year,
Among the lilies,
Lapped in the tender light:
White lambs come grazing,
White doves come building there:
