Infinitedom Poem by Raffaella Cantillo

Infinitedom

Please,

Don't wage a war for every word I say -

Knowing nothing would issue,
And everything must come forth nonetheless,
It seems to me a fruitless effort.
Perhaps, I'm fighting some faraway forgotten ghost -
drawing its eerie lymph from my painful thoughts and dreams.
Like most, I shall be remembered in paint and picture,
not by my emptied out shell, or in pain.
Then, my soul will be at rest, easy, like a barge swiftly crossing the waters of an Infinitedom.
