Ink Poem by Tatianna Rei Moonshadow

Ink

The ink burns in my skin
The badge of my pain
Revealing to me that redemption creeps near
As close as the pulse within my veins
This tattoo is my marker
Showing me that I have made it this far
It urges me to keep on living with this chant
'Become who you really are'
People will probably never understand it
And I fear I may never want to explain
The scars are not for death but for life
And the ink is for remembrance all the same
