Innocent Smiles Poem by Surmeet Arora

Innocent Smiles

Rating: 3.8

On a trip down the lane,
Saw a child's face, full of bane;
Asked him the reason for his worry,
Upon which I came to know his dreadful story;
Managing a silly smirk on his face,
Distressed he was, owing to his bad days;
All he wanted, was to see his parents smile,
But that journey was worth a thousand miles;
He worked and worked, to conquer his dream,
To fulfill his fantasy, impossible which seemed;
Hard times vanished all after a while,
Memories had witnessed, those innocent smiles.
