Inside Me Poem by Kimberly Hill

Inside Me

I feel like I am laying in wait
Of the next impending date
When time will stop
But only in my mind
My face will tell the real
Not the fairy tale of a happy ending

Justice is gone so far deceased
The window of time is almost sealed
Frayed, my mind holds hope.
Of things more ravishing
Than a sparkling diamond ring
A spirit that contours to mine

One that sings with melodies so kind
Forget all the false hollow illusions
Of sensitive masculine imitations
Nothing is as what it seems
Regret so easily invades my conscious mind
Reminding me of what should be left behind

Yet around this identical tree I am lead
To a place that I know I will dread
Which is who?
Is it medium large or jumbo
You tell me.
Different sizes, but inside, same egg
