Insidious Death Poem by Shouvik Roy

Insidious Death

Rating: 3.5

I have killed you a thousand times,
Oh! Yes I have; with my words so rude,
And voice crude, I stabbed you right in the chest,
You bled and dropped dead…
With appalling eyes, and broken ties
I penetrated your soul,
Made a hole; for you to fall.

And now your anguished ghost,
Haunts me with that wound in the chest
And the grotesque hole,
Day and night, I fight the hideous sight…
My death is nigh thus;
A death insidious.
