the heat is unbearable
our enlightened minds are numbed
but the dance goes on

we put on a show
we hear their applause
but their faces are blurred

then no evidence are left
after the final vow
still we wait for the next

the light shines on us alone
covering our own nakedness
our shame and lifetime sin

then we perform for the darkness
to get the spotlight on us
to bathe us its blinding grace

we face them again
the applause is getting weaker
or are we getting deaf?

they too perform for us
for them we are the ones without faces
we are the ones that leave

some sing silently for me
the others dance with me
and many of them has his own show

but the light is all but ain't enough
that is the little stage
our dream that we weep for

one single inspiration
of pride, self-worth and recognition
that is everyone's own intention
