From behind the shadows
Watching over me
My Blessing
The inspiration through my struggles

Inside, my heart filled with grief
At times I wanted to cry
Breakdown to my relief
And all I needed was to try

Before, was just me all alone
Then I felt a familiar presence
Lingered of cologne
Appealed to my senses

Reminded me that you were near
Brought warmth to the soles of my feet
Always and Forever here
Looked up and you beamed at me

Just then something amazing happened
I regained my strength
No longer trapped in
Now today I have Faith

You're my Blessing
The inspiration in my everyday battles
Still watching over me
From behind the shadows
