Instructions Poem by Richard Merrell

I am a Christian
The Bible I read
To get the instructions
From God that I need.

The Scripture says, 'Do this'
But I am dismayed,
To see that some brethren
Have not obeyed.

Some brethren say that
'The church is not strong'
Still others ask
'Whatever is wrong? '

The answer I fear
And am sorry to say.
Is that from God's Scriptures
They have gone astray.

Just ask now and hear
What some Christians say
About God's teachings
Compared to their own way.

Yes, I think it's time
To look and to SEE
What are God's instructions
For you and for me.
