I'm tired
of feeling like I'm the one
who did something wrong.

I resent
being villainized
for doing nothing more
than searching for the
truth.

My passion
for the written word
is the fuel
that drives me.

As is my belief
in honour, integrity
and the responsibility
of doing what is right;
facing the consequences
of making the wrong choice.

I make a plea
to your sense
of pride.

If I'm wrong,
enlighten me...
I will humbly apologize,
and beg forgiveness.

It isn't beneath me
to admit I am
wrong.

I've made many mistakes,
and have come to realize
that perfection is not
expected.

A little humility
goes a long way.

Real friends
understand more
than we realize;
second chances
are usually granted
to those that show
sincerity.

I won't give up
in my fight
for this cause,
as inconsequential
and insignificant it may seem
to most.

I've opened up
a Pandora's box,
and I need to follow through...
because in the end,
all we have
is our word.
