Intimacy Of Time And Space Poem by David Wood

Intimacy Of Time And Space

Rating: 5.0

You look across a crowded room
But all you see is someone unique,
And in a glance, your eyes lock
On something that could last a lifetime
Because it is only with our eyes that
We unlock the beauty of another's soul.

It is that unique moment in time that
Must be recognised as far too
Important a moment for a casual ‘hi'
Though saying ‘hi' is important, it's
Not the right time or place for feelings
To develop and grow stronger.

Feelings need to be recognised and
Held closely with the quality they deserve.
And they need the space of intimacy,
Of time spent together as one; just
Being alone in a neutral environment
Where even if walking in silence, something
That could last a lifetime can grow, develop
And only get stronger.
