Into Thin Air Poem by Mike Gift

Into Thin Air

tell me what's the song,
that we used to sing.
when i get the pitch,
indulged in the melody,
fingers on the key,
my eyes closing,
breathing and breathing,
the song i'll play.
there wouldn't be any lyrics,
for only the symphony,
could tell the story.
did it permeate your heart?
if it did,
let me be your tears of joy,
born from your eyes,
sailed on the cheeks,
died in your lips.
