Inventive Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Inventive

Everyday folks must find a way,
To be inventive.
Doing something different,
Outside of a once thought routine.
Normalizing a fading quality of life.
Slipping away,
From an excitement to invite it.
And to gossip about a past to have had,
Gone.
Regardless how exaggerated,
Those reminisced 'old' days to live them...
Were joyfully spent complaining'
About what could be done to wish!

Everyday folks must find a way,
To be creative and not related.
To anything else already experienced.
Or find it necessary to announce,
Something new found to do.
Since discovery is a personal journey.
Never to bore.
When determined to adventure and explore,
More.
Beyond one's front door.
Where naysayers and negativity,
Seem to gather and seek familiarity...
With a commitment to keep unchanged!
