Invisible Poem by Nina gáspari

Invisible

As a newborn
I watched the world around me
Amazed
By its novelties and glories
As a child
I dreamed of way too many fantasies
Engaged
In my own ideas and thoughts
As an adult
I fought many fights
Kept on struggling trough the many days and nights
Just trying to keep my eyes opened
Trying to stay alive
All the words I once spoke
And now u can´t seem to hear me speak
All the attention I used to crave for
And now u can´t seem to even see me
I´m invisible
My dreams and goals
My fights and fellows
Have left me
Miserable
Somewhere down that old road
I may have made a bad choice
Of a direction to follow
In a attempt to search for rejoice
Next time you cross my way
Make sure
You´ll at least try to
Look into my eyes
Hear the words I say
Pay tribute to the man I was one day
And the human I am today.
