Is It A Dream? Poem by Luke Easter

Is It A Dream?

Rating: 5.0

Is that a ramble bush in the forest road?
Wait hold on it's moving, a frog, a toad?
See the border by the Bricklayer's house?
And, are you of afraid an oversize mouse?

Silly rumor going around, it isn't coy,
Farmer's Bride eloped with Buffalo Boy,
On their Wedding Day a change of heart,
Eminent Domain, way before their start.

Here's the place I saw a Golden snake,
Full stealth mode the rattle didn't shake,
With Diamond teeth and Mercuric Venom,
The Farmer cried, "put your fangs in them, "

I really do seek to rush and aid the poor,
Boy was bitten, death, romance no more,
Gypsy's toothless snake charmer's shack,
Strange incident brought the viper back.

But I have much no maybe a little doubt,
If the serpent will ever again come out,
Whether or not it is a dream or reality,
Hope I see death long before it sees me,

This age old custom is sick and pathetic,
Omen of a beautiful life do I regret it?
Perhaps 1 day it could be forgiven true,
Perhaps love the farmer like I loved you.

The question still remains & I'm not sure,
A light, raise that curtain, open my door,
Is it a dream or copy of a masterful fake?
One nightmare how much more do I take?

I desperately need for reality to sink in,
Only then shall I stop and start to begin,
It was not about love just his silly pride,
Shadows of, 'no' how long must I hide?

Has desperation finally taken over, I guess?
A dream is not something that gives me rest,
With climax do we awaken the answer is yes,
Well, I had my very old friend put it to the test.

Sir Lankan, Sam Munaweera ran three marathons,
Winner three years in a row as they are very long,
Watching him without knowing his age it seems,
You'll ask the question is it real or, "Is It A Dream? "
