Is It For You? Poem by Josh Burnett

Is It For You?

Broken away from you I lie.
Beaten face I try to hide.
Running away I try to fly,
But I don't know why
Sometimes I try.

Is it for you?
Do you even care?
Tell me because
I can't see the signs in your eyes.
Should I start to cry?
Should I ask you why?
Is it for you?

The tears I try to lie from you,
Because you make it no better, you're not my truth.
I always wanted you but now I got you
I don't know if I really do.
Tell me before I make a mistake.
If you don't care then run away,
And leave me broken in this pain.
I know longer want to see your face.
It's such a distaste.

Is it for you?
Do you even care?
Tell me because
I can't see the signs in your eyes.
Should I start to cry?
Should I ask you why?
Is it for you?

It's such a sickening touch,
When you tell me you love me this much.
I know I've had just enough.
Don't cry I know you're tough.

Is it for you?
Do you even care?
Tell me because
I can't see the signs in your eyes.
Should I start to cry?
Should I ask you why?
Is it for you?
