Is It Really You? Poem by Mike Snow

Is It Really You?

I have screamed your name many times,
In the dark lonely hours of my life.
But never once did you answer,
How could you?
You had not been born.

Distant foggy memories of lifes gone by,
all forgotten except by our subconsious.
Then chance takes a twist, a playful curve,
and the worlds crash together in a malstrome
of passion, memories and love.

Strange how a picture can bring this about.
A two dimensional collection of pixels on a screen.
But when it does happen to you,
you will be swept away on this heady ride,
trusting that fate has something pleasent in store.

It`s not the same mistake ridden result as before.
So hold on, feel the wind of excitement on your face,
and enjoy. For the end can either be the peace of landfall
or the crash on the rocks. But that`s tomorrow.
Enjoy today.
