It Always Comes Back Poem by Ashley Sarazua

It Always Comes Back

The love I manufacture keeps producing.
My feelings for you not evaporating.
There is a leakage in my heart,
Because it has been cracked so many times before.
I am producing so much love,
The wall of tissue is slowly tearing more.
Though, there is this pain,
You could see the amount of love on a cellular level,
It flows throughout my veins.
microscopic hearts engraved with your name.
Implanted directly in the membrane.
The love just doesn't disappear,
when the cell dies.
It gets released into the atmosphere.
Carried with the wind,
and eventually learns to fly.
Sores high,
Just like love is destined to do.
One day it will return to me.
These are the days,
I remember our past memory.
