It Ended In Silence

Rating: 5.0

It ended in silence

No words, no replies
No goodbyes, just total silence
Finally it ends, without a single word
Six beautiful years, no regrets
Loved every moment of it
Your smiles, your hugs, your kisses
Now it ends in silence
...
The past tense is now us
We grew apart, trust lost
A flower in the middle of the desert
I loved you, oh! yes i did
Even now by heart aches for you
Sometimes i stay at night......
Wondering, wondering what i did wrong.
Now it all ends in silence

I am a mess, i always mess up
Oh! I want you back in my life
Only if i could rewind the hands of time
I wish to go back to that moment
That beautiful moment
When, when you whispered I love you to me
I miss the magic
Now its all silence, no speech, no words but total silence.

Love is a spiritual experience that affects all and sundry profoundly, its effects linger long after the source of stimulation is gone. Love is whimsical and temperamental, it comes unannounced and leaves without warning. We have to enjoy it while it's there and should not waste much time thinking about its departure because worry won't bring it back. A lovely piece of poetry written with insight from the heart. Thanks for sharing and do keep it up. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
