It Is Alright Poem by Esther Hadassah Sendeza

It Is Alright

I want you to know,
That it is alright if you forget me.
To leave me on the shore with the crashing waves,
When the sun rises and when it sets,
I want you to know this is as real as it gets,
When the wind is whispering and the rain is singing.
I want you to know, it is alright to forget me…

As I walk down this empty road,
As I drown in this and when I am outside in the cold.
When it hurts and it just won’t heal,
When my screams are loud and I just don’t want to feel,
I want you to know, it is alright to forget me

As bad as it gets, and whatever the case
I want you to know,
It is alright to forget me
