It Is Mahashivaratri, The Great Night Of Shiva Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

It Is Mahashivaratri, The Great Night Of Shiva

It is not Shivaratri,
But Mahashivarartri,
Shiva's Night not,
The Great Night of Shiva,
When Shiva will go to marry,
Strange will be the wedding guests
And the party of His
And on seeing the groom,
The royal people will stand aghast
On seeing Shankara,
Shiva-Shankara,
The aghora sadhaka as the groom
For a princess,
What did it she opt for,
A sadhu, yogi, fakira,
Women folk coming to greet and anoint Him
Feeling frightened to see the snake
Wrapped around His neck.
