It Is Of No Use Of Probing After Marriage!

Due to the marriage which happened
due the austerity merits of previous birth,
Among the two, husband and wife,

- as to who has good character and who don’t have -
It had to be probed before marriage,
It is of no use to think after!

Is it possible to abandon the boat
in the midst of the sailing salty sea
saying that the boat is not good?

If the body suffers due to multiple diseases,
and if the parts of the body are shrinking, can we not
take care and do we throw these away, in this world?

Poet's Notes about The Poem

This poem 'It is of no use of probing after marriage! ' is a gist of one of the poems by Mayuram Vedhanayakam Pillai regarding 'Nature of husband and wife! '

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
