It's A Wonderful Lie Poem by Leanna Page Markgraf

It's A Wonderful Lie

I am a hopeless romantic
or at least I was before you.
It is crazy how things changed
because of things you do.

I have got no reason
and I have got no shame.
What did you want from me?
I took all the blame.

This fantasy was just an illusion
and I was too blind to see.
You were just another problem
from which I could not break free.

This hopeless romantic is done
You are not worth the tears I cry.
When you said you loved me,
it was such a wonderful lie.
