How quickly time has passed

And how we became out of touch.

But every once in awhile

My heart misses you so much.



I remember all the late nights

And how we talked until sunrise.

My heart would race so much

Every time I looked into your eyes.



We both found a new love

But it feels different than it was with you.

I guess we never really move on

From a feeling that was so true.



He may be my soul mate

where you were my partner in crime.

He is my happily ever after

But you were my once upon a time.
