It's All In The Preaching Poem by Ruchika Bhat

It's All In The Preaching

I opened the diary of one heart,

Sneaking in, I saw it all..
Crawling was the demon so rare,
At one sight I was filled with fear..
Then I noticed the chains with which it was bound,
Written on them was "What goes comes around"…
The markings were thick, so deep, so bold,
I thought for a while, this heart was made of gold..
It has controlled the demon and keep the place so clean,
This person would be so kind and so serene..
I realized the chains were flowing in through the mind,
I followed them thoroughly, to find..
It was coming by listening to the parents voice,
It felt strange how just few words would suffice..
Taming the demon.. how could they built a cage,
How can they turn a criminal to a sage..
Patiently I listened to the softened learned voice,
These weren't just words they were building character in a novice!
