You’ve done it again
You just left me with no goodbye
Not another was spoken
Only the sound of the door slamming
Now no words will come from my mouth
You will be the one to keep this fire burning
I refuse to continue on this path
Why must I always make effort?

I threw myself out there
Something I have never done
But now you have reminded me why
Rejection is not a feeling that I like

So now that I have left it up to you
Doubts begin to fill my mind
What if you just do not care?
That is a thought I can not bare

I’m praying now that you will not forget
The heart that longs for you in silence and regret
Please say that you will be there
Just give me a reason to hang on
