It's just another winter poem
That you may read because you're feeling alone
Something to do when friends won't phone
And your hair is messy because you can't find your comb

It's just another winter rhyme
That you may enjoy or think is a crime
I painted the picture but some don't like the design
Could it be they are spiritually blind

It's just another winter poem
That you may read when you can't roam
Because outside it's an icy zone
You feel sick because you're stuck inside your home

It's just another winter lyric
That you may read when you're well or sick
You sneeze and the snot looks ick
You grab a Kleenex really quick

The Christmas carols don't bring you friends
When stores are closed and you feel the wind
Your loneliness doesn't seem to end
The older you get the less you mend
The more money you have the more you spend
You wonder how, who or when
Will free you from this burden
You pray to God but you feel seldom
He answers you the way you want him
And depression just leads to more depression

Hopefully spring will come soon
To free me from this winter tomb
