It's You Poem by Kalee Skriver

It's You

What would you do if I told you I had a dream,
but it gave up on me, not that I gave up on it?
Would you say you were sorry, cheer me up,
or blame me for all I've done wrong?
There's a lesson to be learned, for sure, but will I remember?
Or will I just fall again?
There is a song being sung in the distance,
I stand up and find my dream is once more alive
For this song is the heart I’ve ignored for so long.
The dream wasn’t gone, no.
I’ve just forgotten but now I remember.
It’s you who I've longed for this whole time.
You are my Light and Song and I come back to you again,
once more in a million times.
You are always there and always will be.
My Lord, your face is all I can see now.
