It Was A Broken Hearted Heist Poem by Silence Dogood

It Was A Broken Hearted Heist

The Beginning

It's a broken hearted heist.
It began four months ago.
When I was just a foolish girl.
And it had just begun to snow.

The Middle

And it was in this winters chill.
That his warmth invaded me.
Seeping into my heart.
With promises to be.

And being the girl I was.
I believed his every word.
Each sentence dreamed from fantasy.
Spoken but never heard.

And as his plan progressed.
My heart it began to fall.
Falling so far down.
From a girl who once stood tall.

And then he decided to leave.
Stealing away my heart.
While it still remained bandaged.
Part by broken part.

And there it had remained.
Gripped in his selfish hands.
Unable to move on.
Towards more stable lands.

He had tarnished it's exsistence.
Forever leaving his stain.
A mark an imprint.
Of his very own name.

The Ending

It was a broken hearted heist.
And now that hearts been stolen back.
Placed into a stronger girl.
With a soul thats painted black.
