It Wasn'T That Long Ago Poem by Nicky Turner

It Wasn'T That Long Ago

my eyes unyielding
cry for the time
when lovers loved and
teachers, taught
these days i see
infront of me
have no such thought,

when sinners wept and
belivers prayed
the time i lived
is now in vain,

where children played and
mothers laughed
all things seem
to go so fast,

all dreams, i've dreamt
all thoughts, i've kept
all tears, i've shed
all breaths, i've lived,

it's pointless now,
the time i lived is now dead,
it's all dead
