Its Not A Lie Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Its Not A Lie

I’m summer, winter, autumn, spring
Through Christ no more alone
I’m flying as on eagle’s wing
Towards the great unknown

No eye has seen no ear has heard
The things yet held in store
The wondrous things within God’s word
Beyond His secret door

The beauty that awaits me there
The marvellous things untold
The priceless things beyond compare
For me will God unfold

The Lord of life is in my heart
His Spirit floods my soul
No more from death will I take part
Since Jesus made me whole

For nothing that I’ve ever done
For nothing that I’ve said
But through the blood of God’s true Son
This child’s no longer dead

Although this world may think it lies
And though it thinks me fool
This child will stand the day she dies
The day I start my rule

For rule with Christ one day I’ll rise
One day I’ll wear a crown
One day I’ll see with open eyes
World wisdom tumble down

The living Christ The prince of peace
The Lamb that once was slain
Through Him my life will never cease
Through Him I’m bornagain
