Jealousy Poem by john thelast

Jealousy

Rating: 2.8

the senseless feelings of being less
the absurdity of coveting what another is
the madness of wanting what another has

Jealousy is foolishness
Jealousy is inanity
Jealousy is idiocy

Becoming sure of oneself
Becoming confident of own dignity
without the need to compare.

Leave behind the foolishness
leave behind the inanity
leave behind the idiocy

Every human is so unique
so number one in being oneself.
A soul does not need to compete.

So no more foolishness, inanity,
No more idiocy,
NO more jealousy!

Your depiction of the ugliness of jealousy is blatantly truthful and witty in context. Well conceived and nicely penned with insight. Thanks for sharing Robert and do remain enriched.
