Jeanne Clara Poem by Emmanuel EEA

Jeanne Clara

Sometimes I wish I was in love
That feeling like a fire flames the heart
The feeling between the sun and they sky
Coexisting with each other
I wish I were in love like the sky
Watching waterfalls cascading over fast moving streams
Swans gliding through pools
It’s all in the moment
Love happens
It cannot be planned
Wild flowers growing out of the side of cliffs
A cactus surviving the stampede of elephants
I wish I was in love
The love of watching a baby unfold his hands
The feeling of a hug
The sunset spreading over the horizon
What a sight to behold
We feel the emotions down my spine
Because of love
I searched for love in the tropics of
Down to the Northern American prairies of Saskatchewan
I cannot fall in love
For love has been my companion.
