Jenny And Danny (2) Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Jenny And Danny (2)

Sweet Jenny had a brother.
His name was Danny Boy
Sometimes he was mean and selfish
Stealing her favourite toy.

He would seldom hand his sweets around,
A greedy boy was he!
He would always take the largest cake
When he joined sweet Jenny for tea.

Danny loved to win 'all games',
Or he would sulk and play no more.
If losing at Snakes and Ladders
He'd run straight out of the door.

Poor Jenny felt unhappy
For she loved her Danny Boy.
If only he could change his ways
Their lives would be a joy.

So she asked her secret fairy
To weave a magic spell...
And Danny became the kindest brother
Whom she loved more than words could tell.
