Jewel In The Crown Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Jewel In The Crown

Drifting, longing and yearning,
Dreaming of wonderful you,
Falling in love, madly in love
With you - marvellous you.

When you walked into my lonely life
That day was a 'jewel in the crown'
But if ever you loved another
Hailstones would come crashing down.

For always I will be craving
There's nothing more I can do
Hoping and praying that some moonlit night
You will be yearning too.

When that time is here, oh may it be soon,
Life will be one long honeymoon
Glistening stardust will come floating down
And our world will become
~~~~A jewel in the crown~~~~
