Jewels Of Heaven Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Jewels Of Heaven

I’m so bewildered heartily thrilled
I’ve much I long to share
I’m so enthralled with love so filled
My joy’s beyond compare

Pleasure beyond my wildest dreams
With peace before unknown
Laughter flows free from Heaven’s streams
Cascading from Your throne

My soul my God just wants to sing
Free of its sinful weight
Wanting to rise on eagle’s wing
And soar through Heaven’s gate

Who can imagine greater bliss?
Picture a deeper love
Where else are pleasures such as this
Mingled with grace above

Without the grace of Jesus Christ
Without such love divine
Without the life He sacrificed
We’d be like putrid wine

But through His death flows saving grace
Christ rising sweet release
And whom these facts in truth embrace
May reap eternal peace

Such loveliness can none conceive
No flesh has ever known
So blessed are they who now believe
The Lamb on Heaven’s throne

The throne of Light the throne of love
Eternity entwined
To all assured through Christ above
Whose heart has been refined
